Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, is once again punishing the people of his state with a fresh mask mandate and threat of business closures due to the ever-elusive reemergence of Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “cases.”
According to DeWine, the Chinese Virus has become extra scary all of a sudden – this just days after the contested election, conveniently enough – necessitating that Ohioans cover their mouths with cloth and plastic in order to magically keep the alleged contagion from spreading.
“We are now at the most crucial phase of this pandemic,” DeWine declared, reading from his teleprompter, during a televised address on Nov. 11. “We’re in the midst of our third wave in Ohio.”
Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) tests, which have been repeatedly exposed as inaccurate, are showing rising infection rates throughout Ohio, particularly among seniors who are very old. Consequently, DeWine wants everyone else to suffer by having to stay home in solitary confinement.
“This time, things are much different,” DeWine continued to fearmonger during his address, pointing out that people are getting sicker on average now that winter is arriving, which is to be expected.
According to the official numbers, Ohio is seeing about 6,500 new “cases” of the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) daily, up from about 1,000 new “cases” per day back in September. The Ohio Department of Health also reported 76 new deaths on Nov. 11 that it blamed on the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19), the median age of those dying being 80 years old.
“We’ve got to get back to the basics: wearing a mask, maintain at least six feet of distance from each other, washing our hands frequently, and not having parties, get-togethers in your house, and trying to get adequate fresh air into our homes, particularly as it’s getting colder,” wannabe Dr. DeWine proclaimed, clearly drunk on power and delusion.
While Ohio previously has had a statewide mask mandate in place, this one is stricter in that it requires all businesses to post face covering signage at all public entrances. Business owners are also being told that they have to police customers in order to ensure that everyone is putting on and removing their masks at just the right moments to keep the virus from escaping their mouths and noses and traveling into other people’s mouths and noses.
Businesses that fail to comply with every jot and tittle of DeWine’s decree are being threatened with enforcement from the state’s new “compliance unit,” which is reportedly being led by workers from the Bureau of Workers Compensation.
First-time violators of DeWine’s proclamation will receive a written warning. Those who violate a second time will reportedly be forced to close their businesses for up to 24 hours as a punishment.
DeWine also wants people to stop getting together for social activities, whether they be dancing, hanging out at a bar, or even playing games with one another. Should DeWine hear about people having any type of fun, then he plans to close down restaurants, bars and gyms as an additional punishment.
“These are places candidly where it’s difficult or impossible to maintain mask-wearing, which we know now is the chief way of slowing this virus,” DeWine further stated, regurgitating fake science that has long been debunked, including by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
While most of the attention is on far-leftist Democrat governors like Gavin Newsom of California and Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, do not forget that mask tyranny is also coming from so-called Republicans like DeWine, once again illustrating that authoritarianism is a bipartisan affair.
