After years of denial and fearmongering, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is now telling people not to worry about the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19): It is no worse than seasonal influenza.
New CDC guidelines for travelers suggest treating the threat of COVID the same way as the threat of flu. If you have the sniffles or any other flu symptoms, the CDC advises that you stay home until they subside and proceed with caution after that.
“COVID-19 is still an important public health threat, but it is not the emergency that it once was,” said Dr. Brendan Jackson, head of the respiratory virus response unit at the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Disease.
“And its health impacts increasingly resemble those of other [respiratory viral] illnesses, including influenza and RSV.”
Most Americans have long forgotten about COVID as it is, and were largely already treating it like the flu, or even as a hoax, ever since the jig was up in 2021. Even so, the CDC is trying to stay relevant by catching up with the times and pretending as though its latest “science” matches what many have known for years about the non-threat of COVID.
(Related: Remember when the CDC admitted that COVID “vaccines” only, maybe, help one person avoid death for every one million jabs delivered?)
Even the medical community, which aggressively pushed masks and “vaccines” for the first couple years of COVID, is telling people they no longer have to worry about the so-called virus. Many are not even pushing the CDC’s guidelines, and are instead telling people to simply use common sense just like they did prior to the “pandemic.”
Despite all this, the CDC is still trying to convince the public to look at COVID as something different than the flu, even though there is no perceivable difference in symptoms between the two.
“Let’s be clear: COVID-19 is not the flu,” Jackson added in a statement, claiming that COVID “still causes more serious illness and leads to more lasting effects.”
More than 1,000 people per week, the CDC also claims, are dying from COVID. And those with “long” COVID are suffering symptoms that can last months, years, or forever, depending on the person.
These are the CDC’s claims, mind you, and not the claims of this writer. For all intents and purposes, COVID never really existed beyond damage caused by “vaccine” shedding, 5G activation and other bioweapons releases that occurred just prior to every new “outbreak” or spike in “cases.”
“We want folks to recognize that the majority of virus spread is happening when you’re sickest and as the days go on less virus spreads,” proclaimed CDC Director Dr. Mandy Cohen in a recent statement.
So-called asymptomatic spread is also not a thing, even though we were told it was a thing. The CDC is not actually saying this flat-out, but is rather now suggesting that asymptomatic spread is “less likely” to occur than spread from an actually sick person with symptoms.
Amazingly, the establishment is still trying to get people to “vaccinate” and “boost” themselves at least once a year, just like with seasonal flu shots. Older people above age 65 are the primary targets for this routine injection campaign, and the CDC also wants seniors to get “boosted” in the spring as well, just so long as there is a four-month gap in between each dose.
“About 60 percent of seniors aren’t up-to-date on their COVID shots,” complained the Wall Street Journal in a piece pushing seasonal COVID injections.
